- Guitar Chicago is a musical instruction program conveniently located on Michigan Avenue across from Millennium Park. Perfect for those working downtown, lessons are a short walk from most businesses. A graduate of Hope College in Psychology and Music, James Lenger has been teaching guitar and bass professionally for 13 years and has given over 30,000 lessons. Instruction includes: theory, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, song learning, and songwriting for all skill levels. Lessons are put in a low-stress format, and follow a program developed by James based on his experiences as an instructor and his career as a touring and recording professional.
