Guides Australia is part of a worldwide organisation for girls and young women. The Guide program offers opportunities for girls to have fun, develop confidence, have fun, develop initiative, have more fun, learn leadership skills, have still more fun, learn life skills, make friends and have fun with those friends.
The Guide program offers opportunities for girls to participate in a wide range of activities and to develop as caring and responsible members of their own communities.
Becoming a Guide allows girls to meet each week with girls of similar age and interest, and work with a leader who is interested in and specially trained to understand the needs of girls. Together they will decide, plan and take part in an amazing range of exciting and interesting activities, only limited by their imaginations. In a safe environment, she will develop her leadership skills, improve her confidence, and have opportunities to try the kinds of activities she may only have dreamed of.
