- I grew up in Southern California around Mission Viejo. I have fond childhood memories of wandering out into the back ranch with my little brother and spending afternoons among the towering Coastal Live Oaks. Mule eared deer, raccoons, coyotes, road runners, hawks, and endless waves of bunnies ran through our backyard and ransacked my mother's peach trees. Nothing but endless hills and valleys covered with sun-burned waist high grass and cactus.
