One of the issues that we have found when using Usenet is the lack of a good web interface to newgroups while we are travelling. Many of us travel and due to restrictions, equipment, or locations it can be sometimes hard to access newsgroups via the NNTP protocol with a newsreader. On the other hand, the http protocol is almost always available. With this in mind, we combined one of the most popular message board software, vBulletin, with an excellent NNTP add-on that allowed us to integrate newsgroups into the forums.
