About Grooveeffect
Grooveeffect is an online style, music, and events guide created by Ivy Rashid and Sean Mulholland. We live in San Francisco but were born and raised in Chicago, a melting pot of diverse cultures and people. Ivy is of middle eastern discent with an Indian/Arab background, and Sean is the son of Filipino and Irish immigrants. With such a rich history we've learned to take our influences from many different areas. Our heritages, the industrial/grunge scene of the early nineties, the rave scene of the mid/late nineties, the indie hip hop scene, and even a bit of high fashion as well. We've been a part of it all, and we stay true to our personal style.
About Ivy
Ivy is the real creator of Grooveeffect. Her natural eye for trends in fashion, culture, and music was honed to perfection in her years studying fashion in Chicago and San Francisco. Now graduated, she started Grooveeffect as a way to share her sense of style with the world. Ivy manages the content of the site, and helped develop all the graphics and layout of the site itself.
About Sean
Sean is a filmmaker who has been studying his craft for over five years. He has studied at art schools in both Chicago and San Francisco, and now runs a freelance video and film production business. Sean also works at a major advertising agency in San Francisco in an online marketing role, and is responsible for the programming and architecture of Grooveeffect.
