- The idea to build a tower blind came to me during the 2002 deer season. At that time I was working at a modular home plant as a design engineer. I was working 40 to 50 hrs a week, raising a family and trying to get as much hunting in as possible. Not easy when at the time, my boys were 6, 5 and 1 and my wife worked full time also. The two older boys would always want to go hunting and I didn't like hunting from the ground. So as I hunted that season, I did some scouting and planning on where to place a tower and how I was going to build it.
