Greenwish.com was conceived when co-founders Wael Jadallah and Alice Lorenzi were planning their wedding. While engaged, they went through the ritual of registering for household gifts at a major department store. It was while zapping the UPC code of expensive wine glasses that they realized a couple just starting out had more immediate needs. What could really help were wedding gifts that would secure their financial future together - cash and stocks. Not having an acceptable way of asking for such gifts, they decided to create Greenwish.com, a online gift registry that would allow engaged couples and other people in their financial infancy to start off on the right financial foot.

Greenwish.com enables people to register for gifts of cash and securities, creating collective giving power for the givers, whom can pool resources towards a larger gift.
