Greenways Land Trust
Description
On Saturday, February 18th, 250 of Greenways supporters enjoyed the sumptuous appetizers made by competing chefs from The Royal Coachman, Kingfisher, Riptide, April Point/Painter's Lodge and Strathcona Park Lodge restaurants. The event celebrated the connection between local, fresh seafood and our environment. Appetizers were followed by a mouth-watering meal provided by the Rip-Tide Marine Pub.
Money raised by Greenways will be used to promote public awareness and stewardship of local streams. A big thank you goes to all of our volunteers and generous donors who made the evening a success.
Earth Day 2006 - 7th Annual Broom Bash
Sunshine and warmth bathed the Broom Bash volunteers who showed up on Saturday, April 22, 2006, to clear Scotch Broom and Himalayan Blackberry from the Myrt Thompson Trail. The warmth of the sun reflected off the dancing ripples of the River Campbell and paralleled the warmth of the volunteers as they chatted and worked.
