Welcome to Great Big Blog! Great Big Blog was founded in fall of 2004, originally by Nathan and James. Before we even opened to the public, we had already started gaining momentum. As development continued, we proceeded to seek beta testers - first friends, then coworkers, then people that we didn't even know. To our surprise, it caught on. People thought the idea was new, intuitive, and one of a kind.

Blogging's great, isn't it? It lets you share your opinion to the world, and it's an alternative to fully formal press releases. It's a way to share useful information. The possibilities of blogging are virtually unlimited. Corporate companies like Microsoft, Google, Borland, and the likes have blogs. They use them as a marketing tactic - new content every now and then, useful information that keeps people interested. It's also a way to share company information in an easy, subtle way.

But what about people who just don't have the resources to promote a personal blog? Or the people who read blogs, and the blogs that they read don't have any new content? Our goal at Great Big Blog is to change that. We strive for a giant blog, where everyone who posts can reap the publicity benefits, and everyone who reads can see new entries flow in.
