Our Mission The mission of Great Auk Land Trust is conservation of the natural character, resources, and traditional uses of land in southwest Washington County, Maine for public benefit. Great Auk Land Trust is a public non-profit 501 (c)(3) membership organization founded in 1989. History Great Auk Land Trust was incorporated in 1989, near the beginning of the land trust movement in Downeast Maine.
