- A group of friends and family members established the Grace Oughton Cancer Foundation to support the family and health care needs of Grace. What grew from this group was the realization that the Oughtons are not alone in their struggle. Families all over the country suffer financial hardship as a result of insurance denials, travel expenses, lost wages, and more. In addition to the families’ hardships, pediatric cancer research is grossly under-funded. Fundraisers have stated that families whose children are fighting, or have fought, cancer, raise the vast majority of research funds earmarked for children. So, our foundation has taken on this plight. A plight to support both the families of children fighting neuroblastoma, through direct financial assistance, and to provide grants to the researchers, who are working tirelessly to find an effective way to eradicate this terrible disease.
