Gospel GEMs was established as a website in October 1997 and provides a source of solid Biblical truth to Christians by offering Great Evangelical Messages (GEMs) from the past. Messages from such godly men as Charles Spurgeon, J. C. Ryle, Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield and John Bunyan are preached by Tony Capoccia (M.Div. 1983) and are made available on audio CDs.

These timeless messages continue to honor Our Lord Jesus Christ and edify the saints. However, since these messages were preached prior to the 20th century, one often struggles with some of the obviously archaic terminology and passages obscured by expressions not totally familiar to our generation. Therefore, Tony takes the original texts and "lightly" updates the language, however, neither the author's meaning nor intent has been tampered with.

Today, in America, many "evangelical" churches are "watering down the truth" to appease our generation. Many doctrines are avoided so as not to offend some portion of our society. Many techniques are used to create "seeker-friendly" churches, but the usual result is a compromise of the truth and therefore a lack of real growth in the church as the power of the Holy Spirit is quenched.
