Welcome to goofyfooter.com, the web site of Lewis E. Garrett. The domain name goofyfooter was chosen because I couldn't find any other name that I wanted which was not already taken. Goofyfooter refers to myself in my teenage years as a surfer on the Texas Gulf Coast. A goofyfooter is a surfer who, when standing on the surfboard, has his right foot forward, and thus for right-breaking waves, has his back to the wave. Because most of the best surf spots are right-breaking, a goofyfooter with his back to the wave can not easily see and react to what the wave is doing. Most goofyfooters prefer a left break.
