In August of 1995, Cindy married her husband, Jim and gained a stepson, Chris. Later in August of 1998, Cindy Balanesi opened the original Good Day Cafe, located at the Quality Inn, in the city of Vallejo, California. With the odds against her, Cindy's success with the cafe was due in part to her very upbeat and cheerful personality, plus the eighteen years she put in as a waitress at local establishments.
