Description
Chatel is located in the Haute Savoie area of the French Alps right on the border with Switzerland. It is simple to get to and is just over an hours drive from Geneva airport. Chatel is around 560 miles from Calais so is a about an 8 hour drive if you take stops and don't get a speeding ticket!
The apartment is located in the Linga district which is just outside town and is ideally placed within walking distance of all the ameneties that you may need including restaurants, bars and shops. The centre of Chatel itself is about a 15 minute walk from the apartment. In Winter you are only five minutes walk from the nearest ski lifts in Linga which link up to the Portes du Soleil Ski circuit. The bus stop to Pre la-Joux is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. From there you are in the heart of the biggest skiing area in the World!
In Summer you can relax in the fresh mountain air or partake in some of the many activities that are available in the area such as walking, climbing, mountain biking, hydrospeed and white water rafting, canyoning, canoeing, fishing, swimming in one of the three pools in Chatel, archery, tennis, French bowls, golf, rollerblading, bobsled and 'devalkart' (gravity karting or Devil Karting).
