Golf Masters Software develops software and management tools for golf clubs and courses, both public and private. The software is modular and can include Point of Sale, Inventory, Membership, Tournament, Tee Times, Food Service, Accounting, Handicaps, and Reporting modules. The GMS software was designed specifically for golf management. This means that pro shops do not have to drastically change the way they conduct business. And GMS is, by far, the fastest and easiest system to learn and use.
The founders of the company are Bill Howard and Bill Prentiss. Both have extensive backgrounds in technology - Bill Howard as Director of Information Systems for several large corporations and Bill Prentiss as Programmer/Analyst, Manager of Information Systems, and Technology Consultant for various industries. Moreover, both have been avid golfers since their playing days at the University of South Alabama. The company got its start when the two Bill's were contracted to develop viable software to replace a system costing tens of thousands of dollars that had proved inadequate and inefficient. GMS provided a workable solution that proved fast, efficient, and user friendly.
