MIAMI, FL (May 09, 2006) - Gloria Estefan and Alonzo Mourning prepare to summons South Florida's philanthropic spirit by presenting a special one-time performance to benefit various charities in South Florida. Sponsored by Pepsi, the concert will be held during the week of the 10th Annual Tyson Foods Zo's Summer Groove (ZSG) on Saturday, July 15, 2006, at the AmericanAirlines Arena. As part of a four-day weekend celebration of Alonzo's contributions over the last nine years, the highly anticipated concert will raise funds to benefit such programs as the Overtown Youth Center and the Honey Shine Mentoring Program. "I am truly honored to have Gloria perform at our concert. She is a fixture in this community and I've admired her talent as a singer, but mostly her contributions to South Florida. Her involvement is timely as we celebrate 10 years of Zo's Summer Groove - Miami style" commented Mourning.
