Registered in Baton Rouge , Louisiana ( U.S. ) in 2003, Global Crossroad, LLC is one of the world's fastest growing international volunteer organizations. Its ever-expanding program offers a variety of placements in 22 different countries throughout Asia, Africa, and Latin America : Volunteer Abroad, Internship Abroad, Mini-Adventure, Group Summer Escapes, and Paid Teaching opportunities.
More than 1700 volunteers participated in Global Crossroad volunteer programs in 2005. It was an increase of nearly 200% and a true reflection of our respected and unique volunteer abroad program. Our philosophy involves more than simply placing a volunteer in a grassroots project. We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of our volunteers: individualized placements, cross-cultural learning experiences, in-country travel arrang em ents, free-time exploration, and other services as per the special needs of our participants.
The opportunity to work with orphan children, disadvantaged local residents, and rural women groups where volunteers can leave lasting, positive results in the lives of the less fortunate.
