Started 30 years ago by Gary Morton & Kip Brundage growing barley for grain with only 30 acres,GK Farms were the first growers to plant wheat in the Santa Clara valley in 1979 & grew from the original 20 acres to over 1000 acres today

In 1984 the horse industry needed a better food crop. But farmers were having trouble with alfalfa because it was to wet in the Santa Clara valley & there was a mold problem with hay.

GK Farms was able to solve this problem & started producing hay for the horse industry. GK Farms was able to produce soft hay that was more digestible for the animals without the mold problem. This hay product proved so successful & so superior for the horse industry that we now exclusively produce hay products for the horse, llama, Alpaca, Goat & Sheep industry.
