Description
Gitelink is a directory of selected holiday cottages and gites, for rental directly from the owners. Sites are listed by region, and there is also a regional information page with a brief introduction to each region. It is one of the oldest such directories on the Internet, and started life way back in 1998 or 1999. It has changed its main URL a few times, but now seems to have settled for the top-level domain gitelink.com .
Starting 2008, the site is developing with a new directory of gites and rural holiday properties in Spain, and also original-content mini-guides to different French regions.
