- Girl Scouts is committed to helping today\'s girls become tomorrow\'s leaders. Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scouting has been continuously evolving. Today, over 2.5 million girls between the ages of four and 17 are Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette or Senior Girl Scout members. They are affiliated with Girl Scouts - Pine to Prairie Council or one of the other over 300 Girl Scout Councils chartered by Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA), which are located across the United States, Puerto Rico and in the Virgin Islands.
