The Service Center for the Council is located in Fort Myers, Florida. Take I-75 to Exit 131 (old 21) Daniels Road . Go East on Daniels Road, stay left following Gateway/SR 82. Drive approximately 1.5 miles and take a left on Gateway Blvd. Follow Gateway Blvd. to Girl Scout Lane (approximately 1.5 miles). Girl Scouting has existed in Gulfcoast Florida since 1925. Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. is chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA, and is one of ten councils in the state of Florida.
Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. serves nearly 8,900 girls from the Skyway Bridge to the Everglades. This area includes the following 6-1/2 counties: Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, DeSoto, Lee, Collier, and (half) of Hendry county. There are over 2,900 adult volunteers for the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc.
