The Gilmore radio and television stations groups was founded in 1962. At various times since then, the company has owned and operated five television stations, nine radio stations and nineteen cable TV systems, in nine states.
In 1988, the Gilmore Broadcasting Corporation founded Jim Gilmore Productions in Evansville, Indiana. Previously, area commercial and industrial clients were serviced through the facilities of WEHT TV.
