He currently serves as the party critic for Francophone Affairs, MNR, Transportation and Native Affairs. Known as a tireless working MPP, Gilles has championed many causes including helping to expose the water crisis on First Nation communities like Kashechewan. He has fought hard to save forestry jobs, in light of the softwood lumber crisis. Gilles has also toured the province over the last 2 years calling for stability on gasoline prices.
