I have chosen this focus because I get excited about the future of a reinvigorated Uptown connected seamlessly to the Business District through a safe and vibrant Over-the-Rhine, and I make the development and progress of these neighborhoods my business. It is common in Cincinnati to hear people say that the urban renaisance taking place in all of America's great old cities "will never happen here." What these people don't know is that it is already taking place at breakneck speed. I specialize in the urban core of Cincinnati because I know what's going on here and I think that it holds the best opportunities for both investment and residential lifestyles. Urban living isn't for everybody. Some people like driving a minivan to a ranch home in the suburbs. There's nothing wrong with that, but other people are looking for something different, and I specialize in a different lifestyle.
One of the most crucial things that an agent does is to communicate your interests and help filter personality conflicts and emotional reactions out of the process. Fortunately, my background makes me uniquely qualified for this. For roughly six years, I ran my own law firm and did a lot of real estate litigation. I've seen many examples of what goes wrong and why, and I have learned from those experiences how to avoid many major pitfalls. As an attorney, I learned how to be tough negotiator and a strong advocate, but the thing that troubled me about being a litigation attorney was the number of disputes that started as nothing more than a breakdown of basic communication that occurred long before I became involved.
