- GILD NUVO started as a discussion between a father and a son (both artists) who were talking about the state of the art world in the Northwest. Seattle is home to many brilliant and talented artists and some very fine galleries and museums. There is a great public interest in artwork and a considerable amount of personal and corporate wealth in Pugetropolis. One would think that this combination would lead to an area that artists would come to live, work and be able to make a comfortable living. Perhaps even drawing national attention like other artist centered cities outside of New York like Santa Fe. However, most of these artists must travel great distances to attend respectable art shows or get their work into a gallery space.
