- "Gift for Life (GFL) was founded in 1982 by a small group of gift and home accessories industry professionals who felt compelled to respond to the tragic loss of friends and collegues to AIDS. Since its inception, Gift for Life has raised over $4 million for AIDS research and education. GFL accomplishes its mission in cooperation with amfAR, one of the worlds's leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research. Since 1985, amfAR has invested over $250 million through its programs and has awarded grants to more than 2,000 research teams worldwide.
