Gift Silver presented by Cooke & Kelvey. Cooke & Kelvey by appointment to Her Majesty's Government in India, set up shop in Calcutta in the year that followed the 1857 Sepoy Mutiny. For the next years, following the English patterns finest silver craftsmen created the myriad table pieces without which the colonials' dinner or tea tables were incomplete and C & K became India's answer to London's own Tiffany's and Asprey's. More then 150 years later, the magic still intact, C & K continues to capture in its object d'art, the romance and beauty of a bygone era that does not restrict itself to exquisitely crafted silverware but is a part of the entire experience that is C & K and now Gift Silver
Today, the handcrafted silver gifts, handcrafted silverware that graces the deceptively modest show-window on Janpath (Click Our Showroom) is a toast to the "panache of the connoisseur". Over 80 artisans, mostly belonging to the old order to handcrafting silver, expend enormous amounts of silver at the manufacturing facilities at Calcutta and New Delhi every year, while in-house design team blue-prints each exclusive silverware item.
