G.H Maughan was founded in 1959, and concentrated it's manufacturing output to the production of relays for Metrovickers, who in turn produced Coil Formers for the English Electric Company (now known as G.E.C).
As markets changed, G.H Maughan diversified into the moulding and extrusion of thermoplastics. Subsequently G.H Maughan changed its name to G.H Maughan (Plastics) Ltd, and has been under its present ownership since 1973.
Due to successful marketing and stringent quality control procedures, G.H Maughan quickly outgrew its existing premises and moved to a custom built factory in August 1989. A strong management and sales team, coupled with tight quality control and consent investment into new plant and machinery has ensured that G.H Maughan (Plastics) Ltd has stayed at the forefront of the plastic moulding and extrusion industry.
