ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
GEOS Language Institute is located in the heart of Manhattan, right inside the world famous Empire State Building. We are on the corner of 34th Street and Fifth Avenue, convenient to all public transportation. Within walking distance of our school, students can visit such famous places as the New York Public Library, Madison Square Garden, the Museum of Modern Art, etc. We are also close to Broadway, Times Square, and lots of places to eat and shop.
Our school offers small, student-centered language classes. The class size is limited and there are various types of classes for many different levels of students. For a better learning environment, students are divided into appropriate levels. We offer both full and part time classes with convenient schedules.
THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING
Begun in 1929, the Empire State Building has been New York City's most popular attraction since its completion in 1934. The Big Apple's premier landmark towers 102 stories above Fifth Avenue at 34th Street. Long considered the standard in modern skyscraper design the Empire State Building heralded in a new architectural era that reflected the city's status as both a cultural and economic center without rival. This crowning jewel of the New York City skyline has done more to define the look of twentieth century urban America than any other structure. The building itself comprised of long, sleek, vertical lines gradually tiers to a dramatic pinnacle that belies its voluminous mass. Blending art deco with elements of modern design, the powerful yet optimistic schematics strike at an emotional chord that hark back to a visionary city as it was still being constructed at mid-century.
