Our Mission
Attract new family practitioners and retain the professionals who currently provide excellent care to our community. Access to family doctors, specialists, diagnostics, emergency services and hospitals is important, but optimum health requires a holistic approach. Nutrition, stress, environment, housing, recreation, education, transportation, employment, family, road and water safety all affect health. 1,2 We are committed to a multidisciplinary cooperative team approach with emphasis on prevention of disease and accidents. At the same time we realize that accidents happen, people age and illness is inevitable, hence the need for home health care, palliative care and other vital community services.
Our Strategy
We recognise that maintaining the professionals who currently provide excellent care is as important as attracting new practitioners. Our plan is to provide modern, friendly, effective facility housing the health care workers and diagnostics that Georgina so desperately requires. The doctors, nurse practitioners and other staff will link residents with the resources necessary to maintain good health and care in times of need. Providing a one-stop health facility is best for our community and will serve as a focus to draw new physicians to our midst. Having an urgency clinic with posted hours and an on-call system will provide Georgina with the security that we all require. Our Baseline Road location situated on a major road, in central Georgina will, with community support provide everyone with the necessary services that we're at present often lacking.
