Description
Upon completion of the 2002 Spring season, Brookwood Soccer and Mountain Park Soccer merged to become the Georgia Futbol Club (FC). Both clubs had a storied past with tremendous success in the soccer community. With the combined strengths of each club, the Georgia Futbol Club is able to provide more opportunities for each member and hopes for even greater success.
Georgia FC competes against other clubs within the state through the Georgia Youth Soccer Association abiding by all guidelines set forth by this organization. In addition to this competition, many Georgia FC teams successfully participate in many tournaments throughout the Southeastern United States.
Georgia FC operates under the Club System utilized around the world in which every player in each age group has the opportunity to reach their full potential. This is realized through challenging levels of play and ability-appropriate training for each player within the Recreational, Genesis, and Select programs. Each age group is supervised by a head coach or Age Group Coordinator. The Age Group Coordinator is responsible for maintaining club standards for both coaches and players within their age group. This supervision includes the assessment and evaluation of both players and coaches making sure that each team in the group performs and trains under the club philosophy established by the directors.
