Institute Gemilang was set up in June 1999. Due to its high standard of quality education and rapid expansion, the Institute has been upgraded as a college status in July 2004 and known as Kolej Gemilang .
The College has the distinction of being accredited by the National Accreditation Board (Lembaga Akreditasi Negara) that signifies its commitment to quality education. Kolej Gemilang is approved by Ministry of Home Affairs, Malaysia, Immigration and National Registration Division and Ministry of Higher Education to accept and enroll international students for academic programmes. With its dominant establishment, Kolej Gemilang offers a comprehensive range of tertiary, pre-university as well as the professional programmes.
