In addition to offering a wide range of safety equipment and supplies, identification materials, specialty tool kits and such specialized products as MagicWrap™, the company is a leader in environmental technology, producing the most complete manhole and underground vault water testing kits and technology in use today.
GDS’s material and tool division supplies safety glasses, high traction footwear, raingear, chemical protection suits, flags, labelers, traffic safety devices, markers, marking paint, locators and accessories, caution marking tapes, fiber optic, ProTrace, and Makita drill kits, and finally, MagicWrap™, a patented elastometric wrap for pipes, splice cases that can be used underwater.
GDS’s environmental division provides SWP3 compliance manuals and documents, and technical assistance and training for public utility compliance with the Clean Water Act. The division also produces two kits and their reagents to test manhole and underground vault water for the five most common pollutants as well as customized kits that test for any of forty other pollutants that can be found in any geographical area. The company has pioneered the construction debris suppression bucket, used to prevent the discharge of construction debris from a vault or manhole being dewatered. GDS environmental also provides remediation systems.
