The Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Foundation Inc. - Home
Description
The Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Foundation is a registered charitable organization that raises funds for equipment, facilities and staff development for the hospital.
The Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Foundation Inc. was founded in 1982 to equip a new regional hospital that would replace the 93 year old Owen Sound General and Marine Hospital. Foundation volunteers mounted a campaign across Grey/Bruce, raising over $16 million in cash and pledges for the project.
Since the initial campaign to equip the Hospital, the Foundation has raised millions of dollars for capital equipment and renovations. In 1997, the Foundation established its Caring for Tomorrow Endowment, to provide for the long-term financial security of the Hospital. The Foundation also supports education and training for hospital staff directly involved in patient care through a number of initiatives.
