JPPI began in June of 2001 and represents a partnership between Julian Parks and Jill Pentrack. Julie is the owner of Russell's Printing and Publishing, Inc. based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She has an extensive background in printing and publishing and has long been involved in the Gay community sponsoring IGLTA events as well as the Gay and Lesbian Business and Entertainment Expo in New York.
Jill Pentrack was one of the founding partners of JW Marketing based in Palm Springs. The company was sold in 2000. Jill specializes in destination marketing, including cooperative advertising campaigns and strategies. Jill and Julie joined forces in 2001 to become JP Publishing, Inc. The company's focus is on the development of media products that enrich, educate and entertain the gay community.
