Description
Truly independent gay financial advisers
Isis Financial Planners Limited - independent financial advisers - was formed in February 2002, with the aim of providing a highly personalised and professional financial planning and wealth management service.
We believe it is imperative for a company of gay financial advisers , serving the gay community, to be totally independent of any other company so that they can find the very best product/service for each person's needs. Our three consultants are some of the most experienced in the business:
Louis Letourneau , MA is an experienced gay, independent financial adviser (IFA), a Member of The Personal Finance Society (DIP PFS) and a specialist in financial planning and wealth management. He has a BA in economics, an MA in international relations and holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate. He has more than 10 years experience as a financial adviser and he speaks regularly on national and local radio and has appeared several times on BBC2’s Working Lunch. Louis is also a successful campaigner for gay and lesbian rights with a background in Canadian politics. He founded Rainbow Finance in 1995 and has consistently challenged financial companies and Government on their attitudes to gays, lesbians and same sex couples and was instrumental in the Inland Revenue to changing its guidance notes to recognise unmarried couples in pension benefits. His work has also resulted in life insurance companies starting to relax the discriminatory underwriting criteria toward gay men and people living with HIV. He was a founder of the Rainbow Research Project which surveys and educates private pension schemes in how they recognise unmarried couples on death benefits. He was also a founder member of the Stonewall Immigration Group (which campaigned for Immigration rights for same-sex couples, achieving a significant victory in April 1997) and helped set up the gaypartners.org initiative with gay.com in early 2001, campaigning for same-sex partnership rights.
