LaRose Guide Service - Pumice Creek Lodge, Alaska
Description
LaRose Guide Service began in 1967 in the Talkeetna Mountains and quickly expanded to the Alaska Peninsula, Kodiak, and the Wrangell Mountains. My father has retired and sold the Kodiak lodge but still spends time on the Alaska Peninsula in the summer and fall. We are still doing hunts in all the previously listed areas except the Wrangell Mountains. With the exception of sheep all of the hunting and fishing takes place on the Alaska Peninsula in southwestern Alaska.
I am a lifelong Alaskan. I grew up in my father's guide business, became a full partner in 1988 and now make my entire living as a full time guide.
I have been a member of the Alaska Professional Hunters since 1988 and on the board of directors since 1994. I am currently serving as that organization's treasurer, and am also a member of SCI and FNAWS.
