Art has always been a major part of my life. In elementary School, I was the kid who would draw cool cars and monsters on my notebooks, and was then enlisted to “illustrate” the notebooks of a select group of friends. In high school, the art and shop teachers often seemed to take a special interest in me. Entering Miami Dade Community College, a career in art seemed the obvious choice. At that time, sculpture and mixed media were my first loves.
