Welcome to the home away from home of the Trayned Bandes of London. Historically, the Trained Bands were part of the Elizabethan and Jacobean militia. They were kept at a high state of training to defend England from invasion. Today, the Trayn'd Bandes of London are a loose aggregation of people which re-create the civil and military lives of those Elizabethan and Jacobean citizen-soldiers, the families, and those who lived around them.
