GameTavern was founded on February 14th, 2001 by Cameron Rail (CamFu) and Adam Grumbo (Crash) for "the love of the game." They envisioned a site where gamers could relax and discuss the latest gaming news, have a few laughs, and organize online gaming events. After the events of September 11th the priorities of all us changed. Our country was under attack and because of who Cameron is he felt compelled to do something about. In his absence John Chambers (Neo) re-established GameTavern and today it is one of the few surviving independent gaming communities. We have much to offer including forum discussions, up-to-date RSS news feeds, regular contests, arcade games, currency system, and many other enhancements which are difficult to find at other gaming sites.
