GALEO YACHTING & TRAVEL Agency was founded in December 2000 by Mr. Gunes Aysun, formerly the Managing Director of Hatsail Yacht Charters. The company, incorporated in Turkey under the company name Med-Sun Tourism & Yachting, Inc., received the permission from the Turkish Ministry of Tourism to operate under the agency name "GALEO" (Group A travel agency license, Nr 4143). Located in Gocek, at the heart of Turkey's yachting itineraries, GALEO manages and operates several quality charter yachts in Turkey, Greece and the Red Sea, as well as offering yachts for sale and travel agency services to upscale customers. The Yachting Magazine also kindly announced our formation in April 2001 issue under the "Superyacht Report" column.
GALEO combines extensive local knowledge with global business standards and strict adherence to work ethics and enthusiasm to offer best available solutions to clients' and business partners' needs regarding a perfect yachting holiday. We feel that we have the privilege working for an industry centred around "pleasure" and try to make our guests leave us with wonderful memories. We became a member of CYBA ( Charter Yacht Brokers Association) in 2002.
To expand its services beyond Turkey, GALEO became the Turkish partner for 4Yacht Inc., an international yacht brokerage specialist, based in Fort Lauderdale, USA, for yacht sales services.
