Petter Hegre – Erotic Photographer of the Year
In 2001, "The Mammoth Book of Erotic Photography" and the 2005 "The Mammoth Book of Erotic woman", placed Petter Hegre at the top of the list among the world’s leading photographers, a position he has also secured by winning the prestigious Erotic Photographer of the Year award at the 8th annual Erotic Oscars in London.
However, the road to success wasn’t an easy one. Petter Hegre studied at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. From there he moved to New York and worked for Richard Avedon for period of one year before he returned to Europe to use what he had learned and develop his own unique style. While not traveling the corners of the globe searching for fresh new subjects, he is today primarily based in the south of Portugal or in his studio in Paris.
