GaiaEarthseed and the SolSeedMovement
The SolSeedMovement as a whole is not a religion. The Church of Gaia/Earthseed is its religious branch--sort of.
Actually, CoGE differs from a true religion in a couple of ways. First, it isn't really established yet: the Church's core texts, consisting of the Gaia/Earthseed page and the various pages linked from it, probably need major elaboration before I can officially "open the doors" and start evangelizing in earnest. (This doesn't mean that said texts will be "set in stone" after that point. On the contrary, they will continue to evolve throughout the Church's existence, maintaining a set of core principles as the only constant while the rest of the texts are adapted to changing times.)
Second, like its parent movement, CoGE is a TruthMovement which does not rely on any supernatural forces. Our Goddess created us, in a sense, but She did not do so purposefully, since She is probably not even a conscious being. In fact, Gaia is nothing more nor less than the natural world we call home, the living planet that gave birth to humanity through the blind forces of evolution.
