Gaelyn and Atom Cianfarani began collaborating in 1999 and created their label Gaelyn and Cianfarani in 2002 when they started showing during fashion week in New York city. Motivated to create fashion with a focus on preservation and revitalization, this integrity shines through their work. Juxtaposing timeless romantic elements with edgy fashion forward experimentation, their designs have met instant acclaim. The one-of-a-kind couture featured everywhere from Italian vogue to MTV has taken Gaelyn and Cianfarani to a global audience.
Gaelyn apprenticed with costume designers before collaborating with Cianfarani. Essentially self taught in sewing and pattern making, she studied to be a painter.
Atom Cianfarani trained in fine wood working before breaking into fashion. Applying the same exacting standards and attention to detail has been critical to the team’s success. Both atom and gaelyn believe that small choices will change the way we all live on this planet, even with the clothes we choose to wear. “make a real fashion statement, save the planet” atoms says with a smile.
