- GlenWood Park Retirement Village is a continuing care retirement community established in 1968 by the West Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Community and church leaders shared a vision in the late 1950s and early 1960s of a faith-based facility that would serve the aged. Today that vision stands in southern West Virginia as the only church-affiliated continuing care retirement community in the state.
