Description
The Snuffaluffabag exploded onto the Bay Area climbing scene in May 2001, shortly after the internet company where Hope Meng was gainfully employed appeared on the pages of F*cked Company. But Hope knew she wasn't going to be happy just finding another computer job or sitting on the couch eating bon bons and watching Ricki Lake (mmm... bon bons...). Combining her passion for climbing with her love of all things soft, she went to the fabric store with her first unemployment check in hand, and set about bringing furry little creatures into the world of rocks and boulders. That first Snuffaluffabag's instant popularity led to long hours slaving away at The Green Dream (a mint green Sears Kenmore sewing machine from the early 70's) so all of Hope's climbing buddies could enjoy the sight of a furry friend following them up the wall.
Snuffaluffabags are constructed in the classic cylindrical shape, with a stiff plastic rim and double loops for added stability. They are 7 inches deep, with a 4.5 inch radius and a 14.5 inch circumference. The outer fur is made of acrylic and modacrylic and is fully machine washable (Hope suggests washing your Snuffaluffabag in cold water on the gentle cycle and air drying it), though this may change the texture of your fur very slightly. The inner lining is made of a soft, "sticky" flannel, and runners within the bag hold your elastic drawstring in place.
The Snuffaluffabag is not just a chalkbag- it's a climbing buddy. They are not for the unassuming... you WILL be noticed, so you'd better pull hard! :)
