about us

Future Studios is an owner managed business based in Rhewl just outside Ruthin in the Vale of Clwyd. The studio receives no external funding other than from work completed, in other words we are completely accountable to our customers. The studio is owned and run by Richard Thorogood.

Richard grew up in Penmon on the Isle of Anglesey and as a young man became drawn to live in deepest wales amongst the mountains and highlands of Snowdonia. He moved to Dinorwig above Llanberis, where he lived for 10yrs. His passion for this part of Wales is stronger than ever. He has always enjoyed working with technology since working in the family business when he was 13.

Time moves on and having moved to Manchester then Liverpool and finally Chester working for various design agencies, in 1995, Richard came together with a group of friends and formed Future Promotions based on Deeside Enterprise Park in Shotton. When the company went Limited in 1999 a name change was on the cards and Richard was elected Managing Director.
