Description
Nathan Mascenic was born and raised in the small town of Malta IL in 1977. He currently Lives in Phoenix Arizona with his wife, Silvia and their two BlueTick Coonhounds. Furniture crafting was ingrained since childhood from his father and his grandfathers. Starting off very young watching his elders craft wood into items of innovation and necessity, his interest was sparked. Just five short miles from home he was taken in to a local cabinet shop (Kallals Home Shop) ten years ago to better his trade and see his interests become crafted furniture. Various contracts and furniture projects have seen implementations ranging from commercial installations through artistic turnings. Inspired in design by urban craftsmanship seen in Chicago Illinois, he is transitioning his part time hobby into fulltime woodworking production.
Woods include, Barnwood, Reclaimed Telephone Poles, Cherry, Walnut, Hickory, Ash, Padauk, Cocobolo, Wenge, Bloodwood, Rosewood, Cedar, Purpleheart, Ebony, Fir, Pine, Oak, Maple and pretty much any exotic woods or native woods I can find!
