About
I’m an active writer, journalist, poet, graphic designer, and fine artist with an undergraduate degree in visual communications and a graduate degree in history. My interests include international travel, culture, and business and finance. My twenty-five year writing career includes thirteen Colorado Press Association awards for journalism, a series of articles and a book about visual communications and an upcoming book about Website accessibility issues for a software development community, and over two hundred and fifty articles for BuyandHold’s weekly financial column, “Mom Chronicles.”
While my education, career, and interests may seem disparate, my underlying focus is on how people generate ideas, how they communicate their thoughts, and how they eventually put their ideas into practice. To this end, fungi folks have always fascinated me, because they come from a variety of lifestyles and yet meet as peers at mushroom events. The primal link at these events, I believe, is the mycelial web. The mycelia of many species may survive for many years, sometimes even for centuries, so there might be hope for the human race yet…
